Set-Based Convergence™ Tools

As explained by the page on our Set-Based Thinking™ Tools, it doesn't make a lot of sense to try to convince you that you need this software. Rather, we believe the need for this software will be self-evident once you've participated in the Set-Based Convergence™ Workshops.

Our goal here is simply to let you know that there will be quality, professional-level software available to support you when you are ready for it. The Set-Based Convergence™ Tools software builds upon the Set-Based Thinking™ Tools software, extending its ability to visualize your knowledge (and the lack of it) by fully leveraging the extensive Set-Based Knowledge built in prior projects.

With Set-Based Convergence™ Tools and techniques, your teams will be free to focus on their customers, to truly learn over time and across projects, and to leverage that learning into an ongoing stream of innovative, best-in-class products, an ongoing stream of product knowledge that is truly learned (captured and leveraged) organization-wide, and an ongoing stream of development that is as enjoyable to the developers as it is profitable to the shareholders.

Furthermore, we recognize that, as your use of set-based and learning-first methodologies become more sophisticated, you will need tools tailored to your company's needs... the Knowledge Briefs and tools need to be able to evolve into your language of knowledge... tailored for the needs of your company. To facilitate that, the Set-Based Convergence™ Tools have been designed to be easily and quickly customized in various important ways. For example:

  • We can quickly add new K-Brief templates to pull precisely the LAMDA behaviors that you want to encourage, to capture precisely the knowledge you need captured, and to generate precisely the discussion that is needed.
  • We can quickly add new printer and export templates to include the knowledge that you want to see, combining the computable (block) information with the main document as appropriate.
  • We can quickly extend our visualization tools in a variety of ways to help your engineers better "see" their design space and better innovate.
  • We can quickly extend our analysis tools to support new patterns and new analyses.
  • We can quickly extend our search tools to support new and varied queries.

Our software development organization is itself lean... using an Agile Software Development methodology... and supporting rapid (3- to 6-week) release cycles. We pride ourselves on responsiveness. As much as possible, we want to encourage companies to engage us in making our software organization feel like they are your software organization, tailoring the software to your needs.
