Our goal is not to capture every bit of profit we can from our customers by doing everything ourselves; rather, our goal is to focus on what we do best. For the other things that our customers need, rather than developing it in-house, we have partnered with others who are best in their fields to deliver those services or products.

To implement a Learning-First Product Development process, you must introduce Set-Based Thinking™ in the far front end of your development process, and you must establish a Knowledge Value Stream to flow your learning between projects. We provide the training and software that enable that.

But the value of the Knowledge Value Stream ultimately must be delivered through your existing Product Value Stream. For that, you need to adapt your existing product development tools (CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM, PPM, etc.) to benefit from that flow of knowledge. In North America, we are working with EAC Design. In Europe, we are working with Vinci Consulting.

On the strategic side, the most efficient and productive product development organization will do you little good if it is headed in the wrong direction. KnowledgePD provides additonal executive consulting for establishing the all-critical strategic guidance to your Knowledge and Product Value Streams.

For customers whose knowledge processes involve their suppliers, there is often need for inter-organization negotiations to agree on approach. When those negotiations expand to multiple companies, there is often need for industry consortia to develop approaches that work for all. To manage such consortia, we have partnered with the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS); and, in particular, with NCMS' Lean Product Development Initiative (LPDI).

Our software is built on the excellent infrastructure provided by Microsoft, including the .NET Framework, the Microsoft Office System, and SQL Server. We are a Microsoft Certified Partner.
